Ancient Egypt . . . For most people these words conjure images of massive temples, pyramids and tombs; with secret rituals invoking the power of Gods from another age. The world's oldest religious writings come from Egypt, yet few people understand the highly complex symbolism encompassed in this mysterious spiritual system. Akhet Hwt-Hrw is dedicated to the research, study and practice of this ancient legacy and the many esoteric disciplines which Egypt has inspired. This research has involved drawing upon the actual practices and teachings from Egypt, as revealed by temple inscriptions and papyrus texts, as well as the observations of respected Egyptologists and other academic sources. For more than a decade Akhet Hwt-Hrw has remained a consistent internet based resource for the transmission of this and related esoteric knowledge.

We are proud to announce that both courses offered on Ancient Egyptian Religion and Ritual Magic have been rewritten and expanded with new information that does not appear in any of the other publications provided by the school. These include much more information on the Gods and Goddesses of Egypt, many more ancient temple rituals drawn from actual texts and presented in a format that is workable for today's ritualist. In addition much more information is presented on the spiritual teachings and practices of the Egyptians as shown in the myths, texts and inscriptions. Both courses are fully illustrated with photographs and drawings. In total the two courses combined consist of over six-hundred type written pages, all fully documented. In addition to the courses the pages in this website contain clearly documented information regardng the religion, culture, and magical practices of Ancient Egypt are presented; information on the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, including Hathor, Sekhmet, Bast, Isis, Horus, Osiris, Ra and many more; Calendars of Ancient Egyptian; Egyptian Temples; sacred texts including the Legend of the Distant Goddess and the Book of the Divine Cow; rituals and magic, with pages containing actual temple translations of invocations; the Priesthood of Egypt. In addition pages may be found on the devlopment of Astrology and its ancient links to Egypt, Greece and Babylon; Hermeticism, and the role of the late period Egyptain temples in the advancement of these. We also offer a series of publications on these subjects all of which are available through this website as PDF files.
