In Ancient Egypt the priesthood performed daily rites that honored the Gods and opened the participants awarness to the presence of these spiritual forces. This module provides a practical and easy to follow ritual drawn directly from a number of ancient temple texts. The Rekhyet ritual presented is an excellent introduction to the Egyptian mysteries. Simple yet powerful this ceremony is one of the essential foundations on which the student's training is formed. Included with this is a simple recipe for creating the ritual substance "Natron"; a sacred material used in all Ancient Egyptian rituals.
- Temple Consecration: Dedication of One's Ritual Space
All temples of Ancient Egypt were carefully consecrated so that they were fit to house the Gods and Goddesses. This module gives detailed instruction in the form of a complete ceremony for consecrating one's ritual space in order that it may act as the temples of Egypt had; as an abode of the Gods. Using a number of rare texts found in the temples of Dendera, Edfu and else where this ceremony prepares the ritual space for the presence of the Neteru, and then draws them into temple area itself.
- Purification and Protection
Personal purification as well as protection from unwanted forces formed an important part of Ancient Egyptian Magic. This module begins with a ritual purification of oneself. From there an ancient spell for cleansing the interior of the home is given. This is followed by the rite of "Protection of the Boundary of the Home."
- Mother, Lover, Daughter: The Three Phases of Hathor
For the ancients the Goddess Hathor possessed three distinict and vital aspects - The Mother, Lover and Daughter of Ra. Learn why the feminine was seen as an essential part of Ancient Egyptian religion as the life giving, motivating force that awakens the masculine. Using ritual texts and sacred legends this module presents these ancient teachings in clear language for today.
Ancient Egyptian Amulet Consecration
In Ancient Egypt virtually everyone wore magical amulets for a wide variety of purposes. Through sacred ceremonies these amulets were energized so that they became far more than mere symbols. This ritual was viewed as bringing life to these objects, activitng them to perform specific tasks. Drawn from specific papyrus texts, this module gives a complete, documented ritual for consecrating amulets.
- Neheh & Djet: Sacred Cycles, Spiritual Continuance
For the Egyptains time was viewed in two distinct ways: Neheh, a flowing cycle of life, death and rebirth as exemplified in the daily movement of the Sun - the God Ra; and as Djet the state of unending fulfillment and completion, a mode of existence or experience on a deeper level beyond the temporal world that we as mortal beings normally perceive. This module explores these different, yet complementary Egyptian concepts explaining how the Neteru are able to reach across the aeons of time in the same vibrant ways that they had touched the Ancient Egyptians.
